OEM Integration Program Manager

Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Solutions, the OEM Integration Program Manager is responsible for coordinating efforts of multiple parties both inside and outside the Company to realize the successful integration of multiple new OEM Partner products into Swell’s technology and business ecosystems.

The successful candidate will work with multiple stakeholders and subject matter experts to plan and track all aspects of these integration, and will work with management in establishing the strategic priorities amongst the various OEM products. The Program Manager will be a key focal point for project team members and stakeholders on the planning, execution and progress reporting for the program and has responsibility to ensure delivery on time, to budget and to specification. Deviations from plan will be escalated by the Program Manager in a timely manner and will support development of mitigation or countermeasures to ensure an optimal outcome.

The ideal candidate will possess sufficient technical knowledge and the business acumen necessary for evaluating, categorizing and prioritizing OEM offerings, to collaborate with various Swell stakeholders in performing and documenting a deeper evaluation, in establishing the integration roadmap and plan, and in supporting the successful execution of the product integration plan. Initial efforts focusing on residential battery systems will rapidly expand to cover other energy resource device types such as Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), load management devices and smart appliances.

This position will be Hybrid with the office location being in the Southwest, WA / Portland, OR area.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Swell’s engagements with third party equipment suppliers (OEMs) by participating in meetings, capturing decisions, issues and action items, and following up to ensure progress is maintained. May occasionally take a lead role with certain OEM engagements as directed by Management.
  • Evaluates, categorizes and prioritizes OEM product offerings and creates clear and concise summaries for internal stakeholder consumption.
  • Works with multiple Swell subject matter experts to support deeper evaluation of product offerings and to establish and maintain the OEM product integration roadmap.
  • Manages project and program planning for OEM product integration. Works with all internal and external stakeholders in establishing the required integration plan(s).
  • Tracks and reports on progress of all project activities by internal and external stakeholders and works with senior management where necessary to address any risk or concern, and to initiate and apply any necessary modification and mitigation.
  • Provides periodical reports, as instructed, and required, to management and obtain management appropriately.
  • Ensures that the projects are delivered on time, within budget, at high quality standards, and meeting target specifications.
  • Manages one or more cross-functional projects of medium to high complexity.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in managing programs and projects.
  • Demonstrated success in full lifecycle project management roles in a high-tech industry.
  • Experience in capturing business requirements and in creating work plans and project schedules.
  • Professional-level capabilities with project management tools and office productivity tools.
  • Adept at concisely summarizing project strategy, plans and progress in high impact presentations.
  • Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time to domestic locations as needed per project.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business related field or the equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Demonstrated experience working successfully with third party partners.
  • Analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to work in a cross functional team with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Innovative, able to identify, promote and win support for creative solutions.
  • A fast learner, able to rapidly pick up complex new concepts and adapt to changing requirements in a timely manner.
  • A self-starter, able to work effectively in a remote work setting.
  • Prior experience in a fast-growing, start-up environment is a plus.
  • Must be Legally Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Compensation: $109K - $135k Annually
