C&I Senior Project Manager

Job Description

As C&I Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the construction phase of Swell’s Commercial and Industrial three-phase energy storage and solar projects. This means planning and managing operations to ensure each project phase is correctly designed and permitted and that construction is completed on time and within budget. A key part of this is allocating the right resources, to the right areas, at the right times. You will be responsible for Swell’s C&I project implementation as well as providing support to other commercial project managers.

Responsibilities

● Support in developing standard operating procedures and ongoing process and system improvement.

● Support in the development and management of a team of commercial project managers and other positions within the C&I team

● Oversee and be the primary contact to support subcontracted partners providing fulfillment services for and relating to C&I projects.

● Maintain pipeline reporting to ensure ongoing overall project pipeline is progressing.

● Serve as a single point of contact for three-phase commercial projects for customers to manage and coordinate projects from start to finish to ensure minimal or no delays.

● Manage the assignment of projects in coordination with Installation Partner Operations to ensure that the right partners are selected to meet the goals of each project.

● Ensure projects proceed promptly to installation by tracking key milestone completion such as Site Surveys, Designs, and Permits by working with internal and external parties.

● Serve as the key person in managing, tracking, and communicating project status to Swell’s customers (facilities managers and owners) and, most importantly, ensure the delivery of quality customer experience.

● Facilitate resolutions to any discrepancies and customer concerns in a timely manner.

● Respond promptly to inbound calls/emails from customers and track/record all correspondences.

● Monitor financing deadlines to ensure all milestones are met and required documentation and record keeping are maintained.

● Maintain the project construction budget and track actual expense vs. budget to maintain all targeted project economics.

● Ensure you or your team is communicating with every customer weekly regarding the status of their projects.

● Support other PMs working on your team to ensure their initiatives are met.

● Update project notes to ensure all communication is clearly documented and escalate customer requests as needed to other team members and/or partners.

● Work closely with the Project Accounting team to ensure customer accounts receivables are invoiced and received promptly by customers and all vendors are paid promptly upon milestone completion.

● Ensure the designs are signed off with the C&I sales team and the customer before the completion.

● Work closely with the design team to ensure design and permit applications are handled in a timely manner to avoid disruption in the production and installation schedule.

● Work with the procurement team to ensure necessary materials are ordered in advance.

● Support the Swell Utility Administration Team to obtain all necessary signed documentation for interconnection and rebates.

● Upon completion of the project’s installation, review the system operations with the customer and work with the customer to ensure that the system is set up correctly to achieve the greatest benefit to the customer while complying with any participating program requirements.

Requirements

● (2+) years of project management experience required

● Bachelor’s degree

● 4 years of construction, journeyman-level electrical knowledge, or other relative industry experience (strongly preferred)

● Ability to interpret single-line electrical diagrams and construction documents required

● Understanding of basic structural and electrical engineering concepts and calculations preferred

● Strong written and verbal communication

● Good computer skills: MS Office Suite, Salesforce, Google Suite

● Motivated team player, positive attitude, dedicated

● Strong time-management and organizational skills

● High attention to detail

● Strong Leadership and managing skills

● Safety minded

● Ability to drive a vehicle during the normal course of business. Must maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check. Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license

● Willing to travel if necessary

● As this is primarily a remote position, candidates must:

○ Provide a quiet and distraction-free working space

○ Have an internet and cell connection that is adequate for their job

○ Dedicate their full attention to their job duties during working hours

Salary Range $105k- $125 Annually
